MAGICLIGHT® is a growing seating system for children in four standard sizes who find it difficult to adopt or maintain a sitting position. It has a dynamic, adjustable backrest that absorbs the child’s energy during sudden stretching movements. MAGICLIGHT® ‘s wide range of individual adjustment options enable ideal adaptation to the patient.
Product details
The passive MAGICLIGHT® seating system consists of a lightweight aluminum seat and backrest unit. It can be combined with all interco underframes. The seat and backrest unit are equipped with anatomical basic upholstery and good side supports for the upper body, pelvis and legs. The torso guide pads are adjustable in height and width and can be adapted to the patient’s needs. The adduction guides are width-adjustable so that optimum lateral guidance can be achieved. The seat also has variable leg abduction. The leg width can also be variably adjusted.
The standardized basic components of MAGICLIGHT® can be supplemented with a wide range of functional accessories for further individualization.
The MAGICLIGHT® seat-back unit is connected via physiological pivot points. This means that the backrest can be moved dynamically and can also be locked easily if required. The child’s energy is absorbed by the yielding backrest when suddenly stretched. After stretching, the child is returned to the upright position. The angle of the backrest can be tilted up to 30° for a slightly relaxed reclining position.
Safe transportation in the car
The product combination MAGICLIGHT® seating system with SIMPLY LIGHT® base frame in conjunction with a power node system was successfully tested in accordance with the German standard. ISO 7176-19 and ISO 10542-2. This makes it suitable for transporting patients in a vehicle in conjunction with a power knot system if the vehicle is equipped with an appropriate attachment device.

The MAGICLIGHT® seating system is currently in the process of being registered in the list of medical aids of the GKV Spitzenverband (central interest group of the statutory health and long-term care insurance funds in Germany).
The assumption of costs is not excluded. If indicated, we have had good to very good experience with many of the leading health insurance companies.

The MAGICLIGHT® seating aid is suitable for patients with pronounced movement disorders or paralysis with reduced trunk and head stability, which make sitting with comprehensive support necessary. MAGICLIGHT® is equally suitable for malformations caused by diseases/disabilities or deformities of the trunk that require sitting with special support and fixation aids due to the abnormal shape of the body.
